St. Matthew's House (Southwest Florida) is seeking a Shelter Kitchen Supervisor to oversee daily meal production, ensure food safety, and supervise kitchen staff and volunteers across shelter locations in Fort Myers.

This role leads operations, manages inventory, trains staff, and maintains ServSafe standards, while coordinating with leadership to deliver nutritious meals and efficient service.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional culinary experience.
• ServSafe Manager Certification required or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily meal production and service for shelter residents.
• Lead kitchen staff, culinary trainees, volunteers, and program participants.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Coordinate inventory, donations, and ordering; monitor inventory levels.
• Plan menus, manage production schedules, and minimize food waste.
• Serve as manager-on-duty and provide training to kitchen staff.
