Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of cooking experience in an institutional or residential setting.
• Knowledge of Health Department Sanitation Time and Temperature rules.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must be able to drive for kitchen needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals for residents at Zahn Family Shelter.
• Follow preset menus and ensure quality and presentation of food.
• Maintain cleanliness of food prep areas and equipment.
• Monitor equipment and food holding temperatures.

Skills

Culturally sensitive and non-judgmental

Knowledge of Health Department Sanitation rules

Ability to work independently and in a team

Valid Food Handler Certification

Ability to lift 25 lbs
