Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a kitchen assistant to support meal preparation for residents at the Lodi Hope Harbor Family Service Center and to help with catering events. You will work under the Culinary Arts Director, keeping a clean, sanitary kitchen and ensuring safety standards are followed.

You must have a California Food Handler Certification, a valid CA driver license, and be able to pass a background check. Teamwork and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and service for residents and catering.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and assist with daily operations.
• Ensure sanitation per ServSafe standards and safety policies.
• Assist with stock, storage, and coordination of food items.
• Assist with catering tasks and, when needed, driving the van.
