Qualifications

• Previous custodial/janitorial experience preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with standard cleaning methods and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, schedules, and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to clean, safe spaces.
• Ability to work independently, manage time, and prioritize in a busy environment.
• Respectful and patient interactions with diverse individuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of assigned areas including restrooms, showers, sleeping areas, and common spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and disinfect floors and high-touch surfaces.
• Restock restrooms with soap, toilet paper, and towels.
• Empty trash and recycling and handle waste to disposal areas.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other surfaces to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures for consistent maintenance.
• Respond promptly to spills and sanitation concerns for guest safety.
• Use, store, and maintain cleaning equipment and chemicals per safety guidelines.
• Monitor inventory and communicate replenishment needs to supervisor.
• Identify maintenance concerns and report safety hazards to Facilities Lead.
• Handle bodily fluids and hazardous materials per procedures.
• Complete tasks efficiently with reliable attendance and communication.
• Interact with guests and staff with professionalism, kindness, and respect.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, collaborative work environment.
