Job summary

City of Great Falls is seeking a dedicated coordinator to support the Animal Shelter's community programs, communications, and partnerships. The role focuses on front office operations, public information, and volunteer engagement to strengthen community ties.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3–5 years in communications, outreach, or nonprofit admin, with experience in marketing campaigns and content creation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, volunteer coordination, customer service, community outreach, nonprofit administration, event planning, or related field.
• Experience developing marketing campaigns, educational materials, or public communications.
• Experience coordinating volunteers, community events, or outreach initiatives.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CMS, social media, and basic graphic design is preferred.
• Experience with photography, videography, or digital content creation is desirable.
• Experience working in animal welfare, municipal government, or nonprofit organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate front office operations and provide exceptional customer service in person, by phone, and online.
• Develop and implement communications strategies aligned with departmental goals.
• Plan and coordinate community programs, partnerships, and volunteer activities.
• Support organizational operations and program development with reporting and process improvement.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional representation of the City and Animal Shelter.
