Job summary

Precision Castparts in Ogden, Utah, seeks a Shell Mold Operator to support the production line. You will hang wax setups, prepare slurries, apply slurries and stuccos, and perform dewax operations following established procedures.

The role requires reading comprehension, basic math, physical fitness for lifting up to 35 lbs, and willingness to work overtime in a high-noise, manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Able to read and comprehend English.
• Able to add/subtract two-digit numbers and multiply/divide with tens or 100s.
• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. frequently.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Able to meet productivity and quality requirements.
• Willing to work overtime.
• Able to obtain forklift certification and shell certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Hangs wax setups on conveyor line.
• Prepares, maintains and tests slurries per procedures.
• Applies slurries and stuccos to patterns via manual dipping or robot operation.
• Applies core pack to patterns.
• Follows dry time system per procedures.
• Dewax operations per proper procedures.
• Ensures paperwork is completed properly.
• Maintains lot integrity and cleans shell off hangers.
