Job summary

The role supports complex tooling assembly, setup and inspection to maintain dimensional integrity and quality, under limited supervision. Candidates should have 18–24 months of mold operation experience or an equivalent combination of training and work history, with strong written skills and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Eighteen to twenty-four months of competent performance in Mold Machine Operator duties.
• Or any equivalent combination of training and work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and follow specifications on Technique Cards, load cards and other instructions.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
• Ability to work alone with limited supervision.
• Written language skills required.
• Physical ability to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Tooling Preparation: assemble, disassemble, prepare and position tooling dies; adjust inserts for large, complex parts.
• Mold Machine Operation: set up, monitor and control mold machine functions; ensure dimensional integrity.
• Completes logs and records: document modifications and maintain department inventory.
• Safety: adhere to safety rules and safely operate equipment; identify and report safety problems.
• Other Accountabilities: train less skilled operators; perform other tasks; may handle hazardous waste.
