Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal to join our Operations team. You will operate brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders and deburring machines, and ensure parts meet all specifications.

You will read blueprints and work orders, perform basic preventative maintenance, and help maintain a clean, safe work area. A strong team focus and a can-do attitude are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to read rulers, tape measures, squares and other measuring tools.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and work orders.
• Experience with sheet metal manufacturing equipment.
• Commitment to safety and quality in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal equipment: brake presses, lasers, punches, sanders, deburring machines.
• Fill part requirements to complete rounds for kitting.
• Read rulers and blueprints to verify dimensions and specs.
• Starting machines and adjusting controls to ensure proper operation.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and comply with safety apparel requirements.
• Support multiple workstations as production needs require.
