Job summary

SPC Mechanical is seeking a Sheetmetal Helper I to support field operations by assisting mechanics with layout, assembly, and installation of sheet metal systems. You will handle tools and materials, maintain a clean, safe work environment, and help ensure project efficiency.

A proactive, reliable mindset and willingness to learn are essential. The ideal candidate demonstrates reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions while adhering to safety and quality

Qualifications

Two to three years of experience in sheet metal or related work.
Willingness to learn and install different sheet metal systems.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Positive attitude and good on-site morale.

Responsibilities

Holds, positions, and reads tape to assist in layout.
Places and moves equipment and materials.
Positions and turns clamps; screws, bolts, and hammers together; uses tools properly (as certified).
Transports and furnishes mechanics with materials, tools, and supplies.
Cleans work area and stores tools and equipment securely.
Performs other routine duties as needed.
Comply with safety rules and company procedures.
Inspect tools for safe use.
Anticipate mechanic needs next.
