Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or an associate degree is preferred.
• Previous work in warehouse, printing, packaging, or paper manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with forklifts, clamp trucks, or manual pallet jacks is often required.

Responsibilities

• Staging rolls according to the daily production schedule and preparing them for the line.
• Pre-inspecting incoming rolls for outer core defects, tearing, or moisture damage.
• Safely unwrapping rolls, removing old cores, and assisting with roll tracking alignment.
• Helping thread the paper web through slitter blades, de-curlers, and rollers.
• Measuring cut sheets to verify dimensions and quality, and packaging finished skids.
• Sorting, binding, and recycling paper trimmings to keep the area organized.
• Assisting with regular machinery cleaning, lubrication, and basic blade replacement tasks.
