Randstad USA in Bolingbrook, IL is hiring a Sheeter Operator for a direct-hire role supporting 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced folding carton and paper packaging environment. You will set up, operate, and maintain sheeting equipment to convert roll stock into finished sheets meeting tight customer specs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of converting equipment experience, knowledge of SQF/GMP/HACCP standards, forklift experience, and the ability to perform setups and changeovers quickly while

• 3+ years of experience operating sheeting equipment or similar converting machinery.
• Experience in printing, packaging, paper converting, or manufacturing.
• Ability to perform machine setups and changeovers.
• Experience with paper sheeters or web converting equipment.
• Folding carton manufacturing experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Knowledge of SQF, GMP, HACCP, and food packaging standards.
• Experience working in high-speed manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheeting equipment per production schedules.
• Install and align rolls, knives, blades, and other tooling.
• Adjust machine settings including sheet length, width, squareness, sheet count, and operating speed.
• Coordinate with material handlers, helpers, and forklift operators to maintain production flow.
• Inspect finished sheets for defects including tears, edge damage, contamination, skew, and scuffs.
• Make machine adjustments to maintain quality standards and minimize waste.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot routine operating issues.
• Report mechanical problems and coordinate repairs with maintenance personnel.
• Perform operator-level preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, and equipment inspections.
• Participate in shift handoffs and communicate machine status and production updates.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Follow all SQF, GMP, food safety, PPE, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a clean work area.

Shift Options

• Day Shift: 5:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Night Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM

Training Schedule

• 12‑hour shifts, 5 days per week
• Approximately 5 weeks of paid training before transitioning to the production schedule

Production Schedule

• 12‑hour rotating schedule
• Final rotation will be assigned upon completion of training
• Overtime available based on production needs

Pay

• $25.00–$30.00/hr Based on Experience
• $52,000 - $62,400 per year
