Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc is seeking a hard-working individual to support packaging production operations. The role involves performing quality audits, verifying job completion, and reading job sheets to ensure cartons meet specifications.

You will learn to operate the make-ready equipment and monitor carton quality throughout the process. Ideal candidates have basic measurement skills, familiarity with testing devices, and a mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Ability to use and read basic measurement devices (calculator, tape measure, ruler).
• Able to learn to operate testing devices (e.g., Chatillon, Mettler PM 480, Fluke IR thermometer).
• Pallet jack certification is a plus.
• General mechanical aptitude is required.
• Basic computer skills are expected.
• Ability to perform quality checks on cartons being processed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain materials and complete required reports; keep housekeeping to standard.

This role can include Feeder Packer, Graphic Utility, Sheeter Assistant, Delivery Operator, and/or Aerator.

The Opportunity:

Perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, understand job sheet. Check job specifications to carton, learn to Make-ready machine, monitor carton quality, maintain materials for production, complete necessary reports (forms), maintain housekeeping to standards set by management, complete line clearance and additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, ear plugs, Appropriate Gloves, Safety Shoes, Hair and Beard net if applicable, Bump Caps if applicable and Level 7 Sleeves if Applicable

What You Need to Succeed:
