Job summary

Smurfit Westrock plc in Harrison, AR, is seeking a production/packaging operator responsible for set up, inspection, packing, labeling, and moving cartons through the sealing and conveyor process. You will follow SOPs and safety rules while supporting multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety rules, and instructions from leadership.
• Set up work areas by gathering materials according to job specifications (corrugated, pads, labels, banding, etc.).
• Visually and manually inspect cartons for defects in gluing, folding, and overall quality.
• Pack cartons into corrugated cases according to customer specifications.
• Label cases and move finished product through the sealing and conveyor process.
• Sort flat cartons by layout and pack according to customer requirements.
• Operate hand‑lift jacks to move pallets and position loads safely at working height.
• Assist in sorting projects and special quality inspection tasks as needed.
• Read and follow written instructions and respond to verbal directions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by shift, department, or plant leadership.
