Job summary

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is hiring a Sheet Metal Worker for 100% FTE daytime hours Monday through Friday. You will join our Maintenance and Engineering Services team to repair equipment, build structures and support systems in a safe healthcare environment.

The role requires a five-year sheet metal apprenticeship and a valid journeyman certificate. Hospital experience is preferred, with opportunities for a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a five-year sheet metal apprenticeship.
• Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal required on hire.
• Experience with sheet metal in hospital or healthcare environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout sheet metal projects including design and layout and organizing materials.
• Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals.
• Install, test and inspect fire dampers.
• Offer creative and custom metalworking.
