Job summary
University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is hiring a Sheet Metal Worker for 100% FTE daytime hours Monday through Friday. You will join our Maintenance and Engineering Services team to repair equipment, build structures and support systems in a safe healthcare environment.
The role requires a five-year sheet metal apprenticeship and a valid journeyman certificate. Hospital experience is preferred, with opportunities for a flexible schedule and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Must have a five-year sheet metal apprenticeship.
- Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal required on hire.
- Experience with sheet metal in hospital or healthcare environments is preferred.

- Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals.
- Install, test and inspect fire dampers.

- Five (5) year sheet metal apprenticeship Required
- 2 years work experience and construction / installation of mechanical systems Required
- 3 years experience with sheet metal work in a hospital setting Preferred
- Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal Upon Hire Required
- Must possess a current, valid driver's license issued by the individual's state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle. Upon Hire Required
