Job summary

Prysmian Group in Kentucky is seeking a Wireway Associate to support the efficient operation of production areas producing sheet metal wireway parts per drawings and specs.

You will set up machines, perform first piece inspections, conduct quality checks, operate various fabrication equipment, and use SAP to enter production and check material availability, while maintaining safety and organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to use small hand tools / Pneumatic screw guns.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards within the department.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a safe manner.
• Read and understand operations manuals.
• Read and understand process instructions and process drawings.
• Set up each machine and perform first piece inspections.
• Perform quality inspections of work.
• Operate shears, punch presses, press brakes, spot welder, roll former, and other fabrication equipment.
• Use conventional measuring instruments such as tape measures and micrometers.
• Assemble parts.
• Operate forklift.
• Repetitively lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Use SAP to enter production and check availability of material.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned by the area supervisor.
