Job summary

Standex International is seeking a Sheet Metal Technician to fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal products in a precision-driven environment. You will read blueprints, operate fabricating equipment, and ensure parts meet exact specifications while maintaining a safe and clean work area.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience; forklift experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year related experience and/or training.
• Forklift experience is preferred.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Strong time management and attention to detail.
• Capable of following directions and working in a team.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and repair sheet metal components.
• Read work orders, blueprints, and specifications to determine operation requirements.
• Operate fabricating machines and hand tools with precision.
• Inspect assemblies for conformance to specifications using calipers and gauges.
• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards; document production logs.
• Support SQDC goals and train teammates as needed.
