Job summary

Webster Combustion in Illinois is seeking a capable machine operator to support sheet metal fabrication. You will read blueprints, set up and operate power equipment, and use hand tools to cut, form, drill, and rivet parts in accordance with templates and prints.

This role requires lifting up to 75 pounds, attention to safety, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a loud factory environment. You will maintain orderly work areas and learn to set up multiple machines.

• Read and understand blueprints and prints.
• Operate power and hand tools safely and accurately.
• Lift up to 75 lbs and work in a loud factory environment.

Responsibilities

• Use hand tools and gauging equipment to shape sheet metal parts.
• Check machine settings to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe work area at all times.
• Perform user maintenance on all machines and equipment.
• Follow Webster Engineering quality standards in all tasks.
• Be able to work with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Learn machine setup and operation for cutting, punching, forming, riveting and drilling.
• Select tooling and set gauges as part of setup.
