Job description

Sheet Metal Technician (1st Shift Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm)

Location: East Granby - Bradly Park

Position Details:

1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00am-3:30pm

Your Expertise:
  • 1-4 years of sheet metal and shop assembly experience
  • Ability to cross-train to support all areas of Sheet Metal Assembly
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities, with demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues

Your Challenge:
  • Utilize and interpret blueprints to determine fabrication, assembly, and installation procedures for sheet metal products
  • Measure, mark dimensions, and lay out materials using tools such as scribes, micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.
  • Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, smooth, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints to ensure safety and a seamless appearance
  • Fasten details on aircraft and industrial engine components using rivets, fasteners, bolts, etc.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
