Job summary

GA Telesis is seeking an experienced LeadSheet Metal Technician for our MRO Composite facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This full-time role focuses on aircraft composite repairs and reports to the Director of Production, MRO.

The ideal candidate will apply extensive knowledge to complete tasks in accordance with FAA and our customers' approved maintenance manuals. Responsibilities include disassembly, repair of flight controls and structures, and maintaining airworthiness within budgeted

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical or trade certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of aviation component repair experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Able to read, write and understand English.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disassembly, and repair of flight controls, structures, stabilizers, nacelles, exhaust, and other aircraft parts.
• Repair, modify, replace, or overhaul aircraft parts to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform work within estimated or budgeted hours.
• Know the proper use of heat control units.
• Know various types of aircraft sealant and appropriate method application for sealant, as well as aircraft fasteners and basic methods of installation and suitable substitutions.
• Fabricate parts as required and have knowledge of metal and alloys and where substitutes may be used.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Within the Composite Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul unit at GA Telesis, we are seeking an experienced LeadSheet Metal Technicianto join our team at our MRO Composite facility in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. This is a full-time position that will focus on aircraft composite repairs. Reporting to the Director of Production, MRO the ideal candidate will use their full knowledge and experience to complete all tasks in quality standards of the Company, FAA, and our customers' approved maintenance manual.
