Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Superintendent overseeing large metal work.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/industrial ductwork and HVAC installs.
• Experience on mechanical projects valued at $10M+.
• Ability to interpret drawings and manage installation sequencing.
• Proven track record leading large crews and maintaining productivity.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily sheet metal, ductwork, and HVAC installation activities.
• Manage foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors.
• Plan manpower and installation sequences around milestones.
• Coordinate fabrication releases and deliveries with field needs.
• Review drawings and resolve installation conflicts with teams.
• Coordinate work with piping, electrical, structural trades.
• Monitor productivity, installation quality, and safety.
• Support inspections, testing, punch-lists, and turnover.

Lead the crews delivering essential air distribution and ventilation systems on a major data center build.

Preston Recruitment is working with a leading national mechanical contractor to appoint an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent for a large-scale hyperscale data center project in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

You’ll oversee sheet metal and ductwork installation, coordinating field teams, material deliveries, and work sequences to keep production moving safely and efficiently.

This opportunity suits an experienced superintendent with a background in complex commercial, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or mission critical construction.

Your Responsibilities:

• Direct daily sheet metal, ductwork, and associated HVAC installation activities.
• Manage sheet metal foremen, journeymen, apprentices, and subcontractors.
• Plan manpower and installation sequences around project milestones.
• Coordinate fabrication releases and deliveries with field requirements.
• Review drawings and resolve installation conflicts with project and coordination teams.
• Coordinate work with piping, electrical, structural, and other trades.
• Monitor productivity, installation quality, and jobsite safety.
• Support inspections, testing, punch-list completion, and turnover.
