Job summary

Dover Corp is seeking an Assembler I for the 3rd shift in South Chesterfield, VA. You will program, operate, and troubleshoot automated or robotic machinery to assemble sheet metal refrigerated cases.

Responsibilities include reading orders, identifying parts and tools, following work orders, and performing assembly tasks with hand or power tools, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Tasks may involve standing, bending, lifting, and squatting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend an "A" order.
• Identify parts used on the assigned product line and their placement.
• Identify power and hand tools used on the line.
• Read and comprehend the work order.
• Perform assembly-type functions with hand or power tools.
• Identify parts and descriptions using work order information.
• Use material gauging and dimensioning information.
• Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, etc.
• Fasten parts using bolts, screws, rivets or fasteners.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Collaborate with assembly team to build units to completion.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
