Job summary

Hamlin Air Conditioning & Sheet Metal Inc. in Georgia seeks a Sheet Metal Pre-Apprentice to support field technicians with HVAC and boiler services. You will cut sheet metal, install ductwork, and assist with HVAC equipment and steam boilers.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and about 6 months of HVAC/mechanical experience, with a focus on safety and teamwork in a busy shop and job-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Services industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with HVAC service and installations including testing equipment, mounting equipment, performing diagnosis, adjusting refrigerant, and wiring controls.
• Collaborate with HVAC Service Technicians to run service and installation jobs.
• Assist in replacing, repairing, and installing HVAC and refrigeration units.
• Power wash HVAC equipment units.
• Assist with running performance maintenance calls.
• Assemble, install, repair and test steam boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and vats.
