Job summary

Kolpak, a Welbilt brand, is seeking a Sheet Metal Machine Operator in Parsons, Tennessee to set up, operate and maintain fabrication equipment including press brake, shear, punch press, CNC and roll former.

You will read engineering drawings, follow work orders and blueprints, load raw materials, run programs, perform in-process inspections with calipers and micrometers, and maintain 5S standards for a safe, organized production area.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and tape measures.
• Ability to stand for full shift and work in hot conditions.
• Basic math and reading comprehension; English required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment per work orders and blueprints.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and specs.
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts safely.
• Adjust machine settings and programs to meet quality requirements.
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify defects, scrap causes, and process improvement opportunities.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and 5S standards.
• Maintain production, scrap, and downtime records.
• Collaborate with supervisors and quality teams to resolve issues.
