Kolpak in Parsons, TN seeks a Sheet Metal Machine Operator to set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment for precision parts. You will read drawings, adjust toolings, and ensure safety, quality, and efficiency on a full-time on-site shift.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing, can read blueprints and tape measures, lift up to 50 lbs, and follow LOTO and 5S standards. Join a team focused on reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Construction and/or Manufacturing
• Able to read blueprints and tape measures
• Read, speak, and understand English
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long shifts
• Knowledge of LOTO and 5S standards

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment per work orders and blueprints
• Read engineering drawings, schematics, and measurement specs
• Load raw materials and unload finished parts safely
• Adjust machine settings, tooling, and programs to meet specs
• Perform in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Conduct basic preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on machines
• Identify defects and process improvement opportunities
• Follow safety procedures and maintain 5S and quality records
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams

The Sheet Metal Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining sheet metal fabrication equipment to produce high-quality metal components according to specifications. This role involves working with press brake, shear, punch press, CNC, and roll former. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read technical drawings, and a commitment to safety, quality and efficiency.Reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, this position is based in Parsons, Tennessee*.Major Accountability:SafetyQualityProductionKey Tasks & Responsibilities:Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment according to work orders, blueprints, and job travelersRead and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and measurement specificationsLoad raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring proper handling to prevent damageAdjust machine settings, tooling, and programs to meet dimensional and quality requirementsPerform in-process inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gaugesConduct routine preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned machinesIdentify defects, scrap causes, and process improvement opportunitiesFollow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements, and quality standardsMaintain accurate production, scrap, and downtime recordsKeep work areas clean and organized in accordance with 5S standardsCollaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve production issuesDuties, responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice and the employee may be assigned additional tasks as needed to support the business operations.Job Requirements:3-5 years’ experience required in Construction and/or ManufacturingAbility to read and interpret blueprints and tape measuresPerform basic math and reading comprehensionAbility to read, speak, and understand EnglishAbility to stand/walk on concrete for a full shift and work in temperatures above 95°FAbility to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and lift 50 lbs. alone; lift more than 50 lbs. with assistanceAbility to handle tools safely and inspect finished productsMust be able to wear PPEOur Benefits:We believe that our people our one of our most valuable assets.
