Job summary
National Steel and Shipbuilding Com currently has an opportunity in our Sheet Metal Shop in Norfolk, Virginia. We are seeking 10 Sheet Metal Mechanics (J1–J4) with five on Day Shift (0600-1445) and five on Second Shift (15:00–23:00).
Candidates must meet Journeyman 4 requirements, be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, and have experience in shipboard HVAC, habitability layouts, and metal joiner installations.
Qualifications
- Must meet Journeyman 4 (Sheetmetal Mechanic) requirements.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings for shipboard HVAC and habitability.
- Experience with MJ bulkheads, doors, berths and office outfitting.
