Job summary

Comprehensive Energy Services, Inc. is hiring commercial sheet metal mechanics to join the CES team in Florida. This role involves reading blueprints, installing HVAC duct systems, and leading apprentices with safe practices.

Shift flexibility includes 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with overtime as needed. Candidates should have at least 1 year of commercial sheet metal experience, be able to climb ladders and work in varying heights, and pass background and drug tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of commercial sheet metal mechanic experience.
• Ability to understand 3D plans, drawings and layouts.
• Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand or sit for long periods and no fear of heights.
• Must pass regular drug testing and background checks.
• Must have all required tools to perform the job.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and understand HVAC duct systems.
• Manage time and production following directions from supervisors.
• Install and work with all sheet metal materials used in the trade.
• Lead and teach apprentices ensuring safe work practices.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed.

Employment Type and Schedule:

Full Time, able to work 1st shift, 2nd shift and 3rd shift hours.

Requirements and Experience

• Must be able to read blueprints and have a basic understanding of the HVAC duct systems
• Ability to manage time and production effectively following directions from the supervisors
• Must have the ability to install and work with all the different sheet metal materials used in the trade
• Must have all required tools to perform the job
• Lead and teach apprentices ensuring they are working safely within the company guidelines and policies.
• Skilled in the use of hands and tools used in the sheet metal trade
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed

Qualifications

• The qualified candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of commercial sheet metal mechanic experience
• To perform this job successfully, qualified applicants must be able to understand 3D plans, drawings and layouts.
• Must be able to climb and balance on ladders, stand/ or sit for long periods at a time, must not have fear of heights, among others
