Job summary

Jennings Air and Mechanical in Charleston, SC, seeks a Sheet Metal Mechanic to join the construction team and install sheet metal ductwork on heating and cooling systems.

You will analyze blueprints, install ductwork types like TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock, and perform field modifications to optimize system efficiency. Punctuality and dependability are essential, with full-time hours and on-site work in Charleston.

Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications.
• Experience removing and installing HVAC duct systems.
• Able to follow directions accurately.
• Must pass a clean background check.
• Prefer OSHA 10 certification.
• Typically 3 years’ experience preferred; training provided for the right candidate.

Jennings Air and Mechanical has immediate openings for a Sheet Metal Mechanic in Charleston, SC.

SUMMARY:

Sheet Metal Mechanic will work as part of the Jennings Mechanical construction team, installing sheet metal ductwork on various heating and cooling systems. Some of the main duties are as follows:

• Analyze blueprints to determine the fabrication, assembly, and installation of sheet metal goods
• Install various types of ductwork, such as TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock
• Perform field modifications, cuts, miters, transitions, plenums, and repairs as needed
• Optimize HVAC system installation for maximum efficiency
• Be punctual and dependable

Skills And Qualifications:

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and product specifications
• Skilled in the removal and installation of HVAC duct systems

• Preferred experience of (3) years, although we can train the right candidate
