Job summary

Skillforce in Charleston, SC is seeking experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics for commercial and industrial projects. You will install and fabricate sheet metal systems, including HVAC ductwork, and read blueprints to ensure proper fits.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling materials, using hand and power tools safely, and performing quality inspections. Weekly pay, health and other benefits, and a focus on safety are provided.

Qualifications

Previous commercial or industrial sheet metal experience.
Able to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings.
Experience with sheet metal fabrication and installation.
Knowledge of common sheet metal tools and equipment.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
Ability to work 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday.

Responsibilities

Install, fabricate, and modify sheet metal systems for commercial and industrial projects.
Install ductwork and related HVAC components.
Measure, cut, bend, and assemble sheet metal materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Perform quality inspections of completed work.
Follow all jobsite safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
