Position Description:

Perform complex hand and machine sheet metal operations. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, expanders, brake presses and forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form or straighten sheet metal.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, forming tools, brakes, shears, hand tools, and precisions measuring equipment.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures, including proper handling of tools, materials, chemicals, and personal protective equipment.
• High degree of attention to detail and ability to provide quality work.
• Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
• At least 3 years of sheet metal experience.
