Job summary

Enjet Aero is seeking a Class A Sheet Metal Mechanic & Hand Qualifier for our Manchester, CT facility. Full-time, on-site with a salary range corresponding to hourly pay. The role involves setting up and operating fabricating machines and performing precision sheet metal work on complex aerospace components.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $28.00 To $38.00 Annually

Position Description: Perform complex hand and machine sheet metal operations. Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, expanders, brake presses and forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form or straighten sheet metal. Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools.

• Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
• Fasten seams and joints together with bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds in order to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
• Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
• Fabricate or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
• High degree of attention to detail and ability to provide quality work.
• Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary.

The posted pay range reflects the range established in good faith for this position. Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on relevant experience, job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
