Job summary

Gupta Permold Corp. is seeking a Production Worker / Machine Operator in Pittsburgh, PA. This full-time role reports to the shop floor and requires operating sheet metal fabrication equipment, reading blueprints, and ensuring quality while preparing products for shipment.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of standing for long periods. Union benefits are included, with no weekend shifts and competitive starting pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
• Experience reading blueprints and work orders.
• Willingness to learn fabrication processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment including CNC punch presses, brakes, and shears.
• Read blueprints and shop drawings to produce parts to specs.
• Perform basic machine setup and tooling changes as required.
• Inspect finished parts with measuring tools for quality and dimensions.
• Prepare parts for assembly or shipment and verify packing accuracy.
• Maintain accurate production and shipping records as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and machine operating guidelines.
