Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator (Machine Operator I) on the weekend shift. The role involves reading job sheets, setting up machines, and operating various sheet metal equipment while maintaining safety and quality.

Training may be required on first shift; overtime and full benefits are included. Starting pay is $25.15–$26.80 per hour, with a weekend shift premium of $6.50 per hour and merit increases at 6, 12, and then annually.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with basic hand tools.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication.
• 1 or more years of metal fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate sheet metal fabrication machines and equipment (e.g., press brakes, lasers, water jets, turrets, rollers).
• Read blue prints and job sheets; set up machines for operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Communicate verbally with co-workers to ensure safety.
• Read and apply measurements to parts and equipment.
