Hillphoenix is seeking a Machine Operator II – Sheetmetal to join our Operations team. This second-shift role involves fabricating sheet metal components, operating brake presses, lasers, and other equipment to supply upstream departments with parts.

You will read blueprints, follow instructions, and maintain equipment while ensuring quality and safety. The job requires hands-on proficiency with measuring tools and a team-oriented mindset.

Formación

• Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, angle finders, protractors, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend blueprints and schematic drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Operate all equipment in the sheet metal department, including brake presses, lasers, punch presses, sanders, and deburring machines.
• Fill all part requirements to complete rounds for the kit ding department.
• Read rulers, tape measurers, metal squares, angle finders, protractors, and other measuring instruments.
• Read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
• Perform appropriate preventative maintenance on equipment and tooling.
• Examine finished work pieces for smoothness, shape, angle, or conformity to specifications and verify dimensions, visually and using hands, rulers, calipers, templates, or gauges.
• Start machines, adjust controls, and make trial cuts to ensure that machinery is operating properly.
• Monitor operations of machines and make adjustments to correct problems and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Work at different workstations as production needs require.
• Maintain the work area in a clean, safe, and orderly manner.
• Use proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation on individual’s product line or work cell.
• Perform other duties as assigned
