Job summary

InterMetro Industries in Wilkes-Barre, PA is seeking full-time Operators for the Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Shifts available on 2nd (3:00 - 11:00 p.m.) and 3rd (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.).

You will prepare sheet metal stock for application to finished products, reading blueprints and meeting quality standards. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, with preferred experience in metal forming and manufacturing environments.

• Previous experience operating metal forming machines preferred.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates press brake machinery.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.

• Meets performance and quality standards.
• Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor.

Job Location: Wilkes-Barre, PA 18705, Position Type: Full Time, Job Category: Manufacturing, We are seeking full-time Operators for our Sheet Metal Fabrication Department. Positions are available on our 2nd (3:00 - 11:00 p.m.) and 3rd (11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.) shifts. Associates in these positions support the manufacture of cabinets or other products by preparing sheet metal stock for application to finished product. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.

Job Responsibilities:

• Sets up and operates press brake machinery
• Reads and interprets blueprints
• Utilizes precision measuring equipment
• Operates auxiliary equipment as assigned
• Meets performance and quality standards
• Uses simple tools such as tape measure and protractor.
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Regular attendance is required.

Note: This job may not be limited to the operation of a press brake. Other duties, including operation of other machinery in the Fabrication work-center, will be assigned as needed.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience operating metal forming machines
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
