Job summary

InterMetro Industries is seeking full-time Production Associates for the Sheet Metal Assembly Department in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Associates will use hand tools to assemble raw materials into finished Metro products and support multiple functions within the department.

Applicants must pass screening and a 400-hour probationary period. Shifts are not guaranteed due to union seniority rules; availability across shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles various components of Metro product to manufacture customized finished product.
• Reads and interprets orders to ensure the finished product meets customer orders.
• Uses computer to research product specifications.
• Checks parts dimensions using a variety of measuring equipment.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Meets production and quality standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Cleans and maintains work area.
• Must be available to work overtime as business needs dictate
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment
• Regular attendance is required.

Job description

We are seeking full-time Production Associates for our Sheet Metal Assembly Department on various shifts. Associates in these positions utilize a variety of hand tools and related equipment to assemble raw and semi-finished material into finished Metro product. Job duties vary within the Assembly Department and are interchangeable. Associates are required to have the ability to perform all job duties within the department to support various functions. Attention to detail is required and all associates must meet standards for acceptable production and quality.

Candidates selected for these positions must successfully complete screening requirements and a probationary period of 400 working hours. Please note that these opportunities are part of a bargaining unit rooted in seniority principles. Consequently, shifts are not guaranteed. Applicants should be available to work any shift.
