Hydro Dyne Engineering in Clearwater, FL is seeking a hands-on supervisor for the laser, brake, and Timesaver teams. You will drive on-time production, enforce quality standards, and guide team members to meet tight schedules.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience in sheet metal manufacturing with Lasers, Brakes, Saws and Timesavers.
• Experience with Lasers, Brakes, Timesavers, Saws and precision measuring tools.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to delegate tasks while keeping overall responsibility.

Position Summary: Responsible for the laser, brake and Timesaver teams; meeting timeframes, quality control, and ensuring team members stay on task and within strict schedules to assure deadlines are met. Takes a lead role and is an active participant in all departments.ResponsibilitiesWorks with and receives priority directions from Senior Lead to ensure meeting of scheduled product ship dates.Assists in providing employees with sufficient training to ensure quality and efficient production of our products & assists team with day-to-day activities.Supervises employees within company guidelines by continuously offering corrective, disciplinary, or promotional actions.Assists in the employee review process within the department; maintains effective notes and writes employee reviews.Actively promotes manufacturing techniques, offers supportive ideas, and reports negligence.Confers with Senior lead to ensure work order requirements are on time and available.Assist in the continuous development of outlined department procedures.Ability to inspect equipment, structures or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within all department fieldsPlanning: must be forward thinking with the ability to plan aheadAble to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly.Keep the department organized to maintain a clean and safe work environment.Determine and manage required resources to meet production targets on 1st shift.Create, implement and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures for production.Monitors and review performance of staff and organizes necessary interventions for improvement.Responsible for the review and handling of disciplinary issues of Sheet Metal personnel on 1st shift.Ensure daily housekeeping of departmental areas.Crosstrain team members for maximum production flexibilityPerforms all other duties as directed by Management.Competencies & QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent3 + years of supervisory experience in sheet metal manufacturing with Lasers, Brakes, Saws and TimesaversExperience with and ability to learn to operate Lasers, brakes and Time savers.5+ years of strong mechanical experienceExcellent working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, measuring tools.Excellent knowledge of Lasers, Brakes, Timesavers and precision measuring toolsExperience in a manufacturing environment required.Experience with MRP/ERP systemsProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Previous management experience of 10 or more employees preferred.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to delegate tasks while keeping overall responsibility.Ability to motivate and encourage employees to work to their full potential.Ability to read, interpret, and explain all types of simple assembly and material prints and BOMs.Self-motivated, able to work independently and within tight deadlines.Extremely organized, acute attention to detail, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.Ability to safely operate (or learn to operate) a crane, scissor lift, forklift, pallet jack, extended boom lift, and/or overhead crane.Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environmentAbility to adapt to the work environment, deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events, while promoting a positive outlookRequired to wear PPE equipment at all times while on the production floor.Ability to lift 40 lbs. repeatedly and remain on feet for long periods of time.Excellent team member; driven to contribute to the team effort.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; speak clearly and concisely in positive or negative situations.Displays a positive attitude.Ambitious, outgoing, loyal and dynamicRespect for the Company’s resources; treat company equipment, funds, time and co-workers with respect.
