Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Sun Prairie, WI, is hiring for an assembler focused on manufacturing quality components for an employee-owned metal storage building company.

You will set up and run shears, press brakes, CNC turret punch presses, and roll formers, perform quality inspections, and operate cranes and forklifts while maintaining a clean, safe work area. You’ll follow work orders, document time, and communicate issues promptly.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred but will train.
  • Previous assembly or sheet metal experience desired.
  • Previous computer experience in manufacturing software a must is a plus.
  • Must be able to adjust, prioritize, and work under deadline pressure.
  • Ability to read and interpret English documents such as work orders, blueprints, SOPs, and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and safely run shears, slears, press brakes, and CNC turret punch press.
  • Safely operate roll formers.
  • Perform quality inspections according to work instructions.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts in a safe manner.
  • Perform daily machine and forklift inspections.
  • Punch in and out of work orders and document time accurately.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Work where needed based on business needs.
  • Communicate any issues with paperwork, machinery, etc. with leads and supervisors.
  • Report any safety or quality incident to your supervisor immediately.

SUMMARYTo manufacture quality components for an employee owned, metal storage building company.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Specific vision required to detect flaws in materials/finished product include color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment varies. Employees must wear safety eyewear with side shields and steel toed shoes and other PPE as required by the task.
