Job summary

Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is hiring skilled sheet metal mechanics to install duct work in commercial construction. You will read blueprints, lay out fittings, unload and position heavy duct, and seal joints to pass testing.

Responsibilities

• Lay out and install commercial duct work in a wide variety of job settings.
• Understand blueprints and drawings.
• Unload, move, and handle commercial-scale duct work.
• Finish and seal duct work to pass testing.
• Help train apprentices.
• Work at heights, from ladders, lifts, or roof.

Our Journey Sheetmetal Mechanics are skilled professionals that can install duct work, measure, lay out fittings, and other related materials in new or existing commercial construction jobs. Sheetmetal pros work apprentices with minimal direct supervision, as they install various HVAC and ventilation-related components.
