Job description

Commercial Sheet Metal Foreman at Sunstate Mechanical Services

Shift:

Monday - Fridays 8am-4:30pm (Some Saturdays dependent on job site)

Hourly Rate:

$32-45 (DOE)

Location:

Office Location is 2507 W. Erie Dr., Suite 103 Tempe, AZ 85282. This job does require traveling across the greater Phoenix Area (sites will vary based on the job).

Requirements

• You must be 18 years old.
• You must be eligible to work in the U.S.
• You must be able to pass a drug test.
• You must be able to pass a motor vehicle history check.
• For safety reasons, you must be able to speak English.
• You must have your own toolkit.
• A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check are required.
• Able to lift up to 30lbs.

Job Duties

Leadership is central to this role. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching apprentices.
• Managing daily labor and productivity, providing clear objectives and timelines.
• Enforcing safety policies and correcting non-compliance immediately.
• Listening to employee concerns and guiding towards resolutions.
• Reporting work-related injuries and completing reports.
• Completing daily paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Safely operating a company vehicle during work hours.
• Tracking all materials delivered and onsite, monitoring backorders.
• Performing mark-out/layout of all systems and products as per contract documents and coordination drawings.
• Managing on-site project documentation (Time Sheets, Logs, Safety Reports, Photos, etc.).
• Fabricating and assembling metal structures based on blueprints.
• Operating tools and machinery such as forklifts, shears, roll formers, welders, etc.
• Installing, altering, fabricating, and repairing sheet metal products for HVAC systems.
• Performing welding techniques like stick welding to join metal components.
• Leading and managing the job with support from project management.
