Job summary

SST Direct in Hartland, WI is seeking an experienced Folder Operator to set up, program, and run CNC/sheet metal folding equipment in a long-term, direct-hire role. You will read blueprints, verify parts with precision measuring tools, and ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures while working 1st shift (6 am–2 pm) with weekly overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
• 2+ years of folding machine experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and routings.
• Basic shop math and metric conversion skills.
• Familiarity with Schroder, Fasti or Roper Whitney folding machines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, specifications, and routings to produce folding parts.
• Set up, program, and operate folding equipment.
• Position and orient workpieces accurately in machines.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specs.
• Perform metric conversions and apply basic shop math.
• Follow quality, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and communicate with team.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
