Job summary

Pierce Manufacturing, an Oshkosh company, is hiring for Sheet Metal Fabricator (Machine Operator I) to operate and set up metal fabrication machines on 2nd shift. Employees read blueprints, perform setup, and ensure parts meet specifications in a safety-conscious environment.

We offer competitive hourly pay starting at $25.15–$26.80 with a $2.00/hour shift premium, merit increases, and a robust benefits package starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with basic hand tools.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication.
• Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of sheet metal fabrication machines and equipment including press brakes, lasers, water jets, turrets, rollers, panel benders.
• Set up and prepare parts for cutting and forming operations.
• Read blue prints and learn job routings to troubleshoot basic equipment.
• Operate a computer for machine set up and read measurements on parts.
• Load/unload materials into machines and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and assist co-workers with lifting parts.
