Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. in Tipton, IA is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator to layout, fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components for industrial and energy systems. You will read blueprints and use hand tools and machinery to shape parts to spec.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience operating fabrication tools and machinery
• Framing/Carpentry experience is a plus
• Knowledge of welding processes (TIG, MIG, or stick) is a plus
• Familiarity with CNC fabrication equipment is a plus
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Follows safety policies and OSHA regulations

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical specifications
• Measure, mark, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal using hand tools and fabrication machinery
• Operate fabrication equipment such as shears, press brakes, rollers, plasma cutters, and CNC machines
• Assemble and fit sheet metal components according to design requirements and tolerances
• Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications
• Collaborate with engineers, welders, and millwrights to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on tools and equipment
