Job summary

Ipsen International Inc. is seeking a Fabrication Mechanic to coordinate and perform the layout, setup, and operation of fabrication equipment for metal components.

You will read blueprints, ensure safety, and meet production schedules while upholding quality standards. Responsibilities include machining, assembling, and fabricating per specs, maintaining tools and work environment, and collaborating with supervisors and quality personnel to optimize processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 6+ years related experience.
• Metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components and parts according to blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications.
• Set up, operate, and safely use fabrication and machining equipment to produce high-quality parts within required tolerances.
• Consistently meet or exceed production deadlines while maintaining company quality and safety standards.
• Produce parts that meet or exceed quality standards as determined by the Production Supervisor and/or Quality Inspector.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions to ensure accurate production of parts and assemblies.
• Measure, mark, and inspect materials using precision measuring tools to ensure components meet dimensional and quality specifications.
• Troubleshoot machine or equipment issues and perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure reliable operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and quality personnel to resolve fabrication issues and improve manufacturing processes.
• Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support production operations
