City of Lincoln in Minnesota is seeking a Sheet Metal Fabricator I to perform skilled sheet metal work, read blueprints, and determine fabrication processes. You will fabricate parts, set up materials, and operate press brakes, punch, and shear while maintaining a clean 5S-compliant workspace.
Requires ability to read blueprints and precision tools, plus 2 years of related fabrication experience or an equivalent combination of education and training.
Sheet Metal Fabricator I is the first of three levels of skilled sheet metal work. At this level, the fabricator has the capability to fabricate metal material by applying appropriate fabrication techniques.
In addition, this position requires the ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to determine appropriate fabrication process. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and works under direct supervision.

Technical degree in a related manufacturing field and some fabrication work experience such as an internship/OJT or High school diploma / GED and 2 years of sheet metal fabrication experience or equivalent preferred.

The base pay rate for this role is $21.00-$25.00 per hour with a shift differential of 20%, resulting in an adjusted starting pay range of $25.20-$30.00.
