Job summary

Giga Techspace is seeking a Sheet Metal Drafter to support our food-processing equipment line. You will produce manufacturing-ready drawings, flat patterns, and BOM releases for laser-cut stainless enclosures.

Work is long-term with growth toward PE licensure support on select projects. You will create and revise sheet metal parts in SolidWorks, develop flat patterns with bend tables, and release BOMs into Epicor ERP.

Qualifications

• 3+ years drafting sheet metal in a manufacturing environment.
• SolidWorks skills for sheet metal, drawings, and tables.
• GD&T application on formed parts and flat patterns.
• BOM creation and drawing release in ERP (Epicor).

Job description

We are looking for a Sheet Metal Drafter to support our food-processing equipment line. You will produce manufacturing-ready drawings, flat patterns, and BOM releases for laser-cut stainless enclosures. Work is long-term with growth toward PE licensure support on select projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise sheet metal parts and assemblies in SolidWorks

• Develop flat patterns with correct bend tables, K-factors, and gauge tables

• Produce manufacturing drawings with GD&T where appropriate

• Maintain BOMs and release packages into Epicor ERP

• Collaborate with shop floor on first-article inspections and rework loops

• 3+ years drafting sheet metal in a manufacturing environment

• Strong SolidWorks skills (sheet metal module, drawings, design tables)

• AutoCAD proficiency for legacy customer deliverables

• Solid understanding of flat patterns, bend allowances, and bend deductions

• Experience reading and applying GD&T on formed parts

• Familiarity with BOM creation and drawing release workflows

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Epicor or similar ERP/MRP systems

• Background in stainless or food-grade equipment

• Exposure to laser cutting and brake press constraints in design
