Job summary

Heat and Control in Missouri is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Designer/Drafter to design stainless steel food processing systems using Autodesk Inventor. You will create detailed Inventor drawings and assist with Engineering Layout Drawing generation for release to manufacturing.

This role covers sheet metal parts, weldments, tubes and assemblies using Inventor, plus production planning and material coordination. SAP experience is a bonus and the company offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal and structural steel preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Design stainless steel food processing systems using Autodesk Inventor.
• Create sheet metal parts for fabrication on laser and press brake, tubes and weldments.
• Assist with Engineering Layout Drawing generation based on project parameters.
• Produce detailed drawings after ELD approval for release to manufacturing.
• Coordinate production planning and material procurement; plot all drawings.

Mechanical Designer / Drafter (Entry-Level)

• Design stainless steel food processing systems in Autodesk Inventor 3D software
• Create sheet metal parts for fabrication on laser and press brake, tube components and weldments, pipe components and weldments, and complete mechanical assemblies
• Assist with Engineering Layout Drawing (ELD) generation based on design parameters from the Project Engineer
• Create detailed drawings of Inventor models and assemblies after ELD approval for release to manufacturing
• Production planning, including:
  • Mechanical release from engineering to manufacturing
  • Coordinate purchasing of special or custom materials
  • Plotting all drawings.

Qualifications

• Experience with sheet metal and structural steel preferred
• Experience with SAP preferred
