Atmos-Tech Industries is seeking a SolidWorks Sheet Metal Designer to create and develop sheet metal components, assemblies, and fabrication drawings. You will ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet project specifications and quality standards.
You will design parts and assemblies in SOLIDWORKS, prepare BOMs, review engineering requirements, and support manufacturing with documentation and troubleshooting throughout product development.
The SolidWorks Sheet Metal Designer is responsible for designing and developing sheet metal components, assemblies, and fabrication drawings for manufacturing and production. This role works closely with engineering, production, fabrication, and project management teams to create accurate 3D models, flat patterns, and fabrication documentation while ensuring designs are manufacturable, cost‑effective, and meet project specifications and quality standards.

Education Experience with sheet metal design and fabrication processes
Experience Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS, including sheet metal modeling and assembly tools
Advanced Strong understanding of fabrication methods including laser cutting, bending, forming, welding, and assembly
Advanced Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents
Advanced Knowledge of material properties, tolerances, bend deductions, and manufacturing practices
Advanced Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy
Advanced Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
Advanced Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, memos, and work place policies. Ability to analyze, interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write professional correspondences.
