Job summary

ALVEST, via TLD in Windsor, CT, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. The role involves assembling preformed sheet metal parts using drills, wrenches, and related equipment, and includes pressure testing valves and components.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year experience in sheet metal assembly, can read drawings, and works well in a team. First shift, 6:30am–3:30pm; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling preformed sheet metal parts.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use equipment such as drills, wrenches, high pressure carts, screwdrivers, hammers to assemble parts.
• Operate equipment with safety in mind for yourself and others.
• Assemble and pressure test valves and similar components.
• Interpret assembly and sub-assembly drawings and sketches accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and time logs for work performed.
