Job summary

Barnes Group is seeking a hands-on Sheet Metal Assembler for the Ogden, UT area. You will fit up sheet metal parts to assemblies, pre-assemble with a resistance spot welder, and prepare parts for brazing, using various hand and power tools to meet customer specs.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork, with a 2nd shift (3:30pm–1:00am) and a 15% shift differential. High school diploma or GED required; sheet metal experience preferred.

• Capable of reading and understanding written instructions, procedures and safety rules.

• General attendance standards required.

Responsibilities

• Fit up sheet metal parts to assemblies using fixtures and scribe/grind to fit.
• Pre-assemble parts with resistance spot welder before brazing.
• Use hand and power tools to bring parts to customer specifications; verify with calibrated tools.
• Complete paperwork and checklists.
• Emphasize safety and quality in all work.
